Wellington Vale Station Records, Deepwater 1838 – 1920
Early materials (1838–1860) include correspondence between John Kelso, A.W. Robertson, and R.R.C. Robertson with wool-selling brokers Gilchrist and Alexander, and correspondence and accounts with R. Campbell Snr & Co. (1849–1853). Legal documentation includes bills of sale, mortgages, liens on wool, and agreements relating to the financial arrangements between the Robertsons and Robert Campbell Snr & Co. (1849–1857).
The series contains seven letter books (1897–1908), a ledger with shearing accounts (1897–1904), extensive correspondence and accounts relating to wool sales, land management, tax returns, and station operations (1869–1920). Notable items include a rough sketch map of Wellington Vale (scale 2 miles to an inch) showing the run as 139,000 acres with adjacent runs, and documents bearing early Sydney Views postage stamps.
