Eleanor McIntyre (nee Broun) was the second daughter of David Limond Broun and his wife Marguerite Henry (Kelly), of Bushfield , Bundarra. She was born in 1884 and married Hercules Christian McIntyre in 1915. A resident in North Sydney for the greater part of her married life, she nevertheless had very close ties with the rural community having established family properties in the Inverell district.
Eleanor Mcintyre, together with Grace Emily Munro and others, was a foundation member of the Country Women's Association (CWA). In recognition of her services to the Association Eleanor McIntyre was created a life member on her 88th birthday. She died at the age of 92 years.
