'Strathlea', located at 137 Mann Street, was built by George Frederick Nott as his family home, with his initials 'GFN' worked into the building's pattern. Nott was a skilled builder and brickmaker who left a legacy of blue-brick buildings around Armidale. Over time, 'Strathlea' was repurposed, first extended to become a nursing home, then sold to the Masonic Aged Care facility, and subsequently converted into low-cost student and general boarding accommodation.
G F Nott's home c.1910, now Strathlea Nursing Home.
