Trevenna is one of the University of New England’s historic heritage houses in Armidale. Built in 1892 for the Wright family, the elegant homestead was designed by renowned architect John Horbury Hunt and later became the official residence of UNE’s Vice-Chancellor. In 1960, the property was bequeathed to UNE by Florence May Wilson. Surrounded by historic gardens, mature trees, dry-stone walls and views across Armidale, Trevenna remains an important part of UNE’s architectural and cultural heritage.
