Perrott Family Collection
The Perrott Family Collection is a photographic and documentary record spanning the mid-19th to mid-20th centuries, documenting the lives and properties of the Perrott family and associated families of New England, NSW. The collection includes individual and group portraits of family members dating from the 1860s to 1930s, with particular emphasis on generations of the Perrott family including Robert Issell Perrott, Fanny (Raine) Perrott, and their descendants. Portraits identify family connections through marriage to the Landsborough, Hodges, Wilson, and North families.
The collection also documents significant local heritage, including multiple views of Haroldston (the Perrott family homestead at Kelly's Plains) and Chevy Chase, architectural views of Armidale (including churches, public buildings, and streetscapes), and the First Kelly's Plains Church. Supplementary items include two photograph albums (Friends of the Family album; Haroldston album 1931), correspondence, newspaper cuttings, sketches by family members (1861), and commemorative printed materials including an 'In Memoriam' booklet and an article on the Chevy Chase property.
