This collection comprises business and personal records of S.J. Payne and Co., Melbourne, and Frank Payne relating to Wombramurra Station near Nundle. It includes copies of letters concerning the station (1886–1889) with an accompanying index to letters received (Nov. 1886–June 1887); letter books (1886–1887, 1905–1906); and a ledger (Dec. 1886–Mar. 1888). The collection also contains notes and correspondence concerning the history of the Nundle District.
