William Telfer Jnr was born at Calala (West Tamworth) on 26 July 1841. He was the son of William Telfer Snr, the first manager of 'Warrah' who was in the employ of the Australian Agricultural Company under 'Commissioner' Parry.
William wrote the Wallabadah Manuscript, a story of life in northern New South Wales in the 19th century.
