Devine, George Arthur
George Arthur Devine was bon in Inverell in 1919 to George Piercen Devine and his wife Ethel (nee Dearden). He left school at 14 and trained under his father for several years, eventually working alongside him in the business.
George Arthur took ownership of the Devine photographic studio from his father in 1954, and ran the business successfully until his retirement in 1984. During this time George Arthur started making motion picture, short films and television advertisements.
George established the "Northern Motion Picture Productions", where he created a number of short films including "The Link" and "Mountain Classic: the 1965 Graton to Inverell Cycle Race".
