Abbey Green Station, Llangothlin 1876, 1911 - 1949

Records of a Abbey Green Station. There is one relatively early letter from the Rt. Reverend James F. Turner,  the Bishop of Armidale and Grafton, dated 25th August, 1876, and addressed to James Mackenzie, then the manager at “Ollera”. The modern records include: ledgers and other account books (1911-45) and a number of letterbooks (1938-48). There is also an undated photograph of a shepherd's hut at “Ollera”. In cluded in this collection are microfilms of original documents held by Mrs F.H.B. Curtis.  These include the diary of George Everett's voyage to New South Wales, 1838; and letters from John Everett (in England) to his son Arthur, 1888-89. Mrs Curtis (née Helen Everett), is a grand-daughter of John Everett; who, together with his brother, George Everett, established the well-known pastoral station “Ollera”, Guyra.
